You should make sure that your Cubits account is as secure as possible. If someone you don’t know or don’t trust can log in to your Cubits account, your account is not secure.

Here are some reasons why the Cubits account that you're using might not be secure:

  • Someone else created a Cubits account on your behalf.

  • You’re sharing a Cubits account with family or friends.

  • You shared your password with someone else intentionally or unintentionally. For example, someone else selected your password for you, you told someone your password, or you might have entered your password on a "phishing" site.

  • You don't have control of the email address or phone number associated with your Cubits account.

  • Your password is weak or has been compromised.

If any of the above are true, you should use these steps to reset your password as soon as possible.

How do I know if my Cubits account was compromised?

Your Cubits account might be compromised if you receive an account notification from Cubits for a change you didn't make, or if you notice account details or changes you don’t recognize.

For example:

  • You receive a confirmation email from Cubits that your Cubits account password was changed or your account information was updated, but you don’t remember making these changes.

  • You see charges or email notices for transactions that you didn't make.

  • Your password no longer works, or it might have been changed or locked.

  • Your two-factor authentication no longer works, or it might have been disabled, changed or locked.

  • You don't recognize some or all of your account details.

If you received an email that you're not sure is authentic or you think might be a fraudulent "phishing" email, review these tips that can help you determine an email is really from Cubits.

How can I gain control of my Cubits account?

If you think your Cubits account was compromised, follow these steps to gain control of it and review your account details:

  1. Log in to your Cubits account page. If you can't login in or you receive a message that the account is locked, try to unlock your account. If you still can't log in, contact Cubits Support.

  2. Change your Cubits account password and choose a strong password.

  3. Review all the personal information in your account. Update any information that isn't correct or that you don’t recognize.

  4. Set up two-factor authentication for your Cubits account. This additional security feature prevents anyone from accessing your account, even if they know your password.
